Gifts: attorneys can usually only give gifts on customary occasions, such as birthdays, festivals, weddings and charity donations, when the person can afford it, it's in their best interests, and it's in line with what they used to give. Larger gifts, or gifts to yourself, may need the Court of Protection. Check the Office of the Public Guardian's guidance on giving gifts.
